[up to this 3D shape]
- Start from the flat "boomerang" shape
- Turn it upside-down
- Rotate it with the missing corner in the north-west position and with the south-east
tile of "slash" type
- For future reference number the tiles from 1 to 8 as follows:
- tile 1 is the SE (south-east) tile
- number the remaining tiles by traversing clockwise the sequence of adjacent tiles, i.e.
- tiles 2 and 3 are the other two south tiles;
- tile 4 is north of tile 3
- tile 5 is the central tile of the boomerang shape
- tiles 6 and 7 are the two northern tiles (from left to right)
- tile 8 is north of tile 1.
- Fold the shape with valley folds between tiles 7 and 8 and between tiles 5 and 6: tiles
6 and 7 are turned 180 degrees up and south
- Fold tiles 1, 2, 3 180 degrees down and north (below the other tiles)
- The resulting shape is a flat 1 x 3 sequence of stacked tiles.
- Change the hinging side between tiles 1 and 8
- Reopen in 3D into the final shape
